Monasteries of the Heart -- Communities of seekers, online or local, following Benedictine values and priorities.  Gather for prayer, discussion, and reflection.  Focus on beauty, poetry, nonviolence and social change.  Some ideas for meditation.  Stongly feminist: Sr. Joan Chittister.

Gratefulness -- An inspirational site dedicated to just what it says.  A life full of gratefulness is a life full of joy.

Bible courses -- St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology courses.  Self-paced, no grades.

Enter the Bible -- A Lutheran study of the Bible, which takes it book by book and section by section.

American Bible Society -- weekly commentary for use in praying with the Scriptures (lectio divina).

Creighton University Online Ministries
If you are into all things online, try this website for all sorts of Catholic resources. Includes daily reflections on the Scriptures by Creighton students, book reviews, videos, audio retreats, prayer guides for the different liturgical seasons, and more. Check it out.

Daily Scripture Meditations
This is one of many places on the web where you can read a brief commentary on the day's Gospel reading and pick up perhaps a new insight. Just click on "Gospel commentary" in the left-hand column. Another site, which features two-minute videos on the gospel reading of the day, is here.
